KARIMUN's BENEFIT

Natural depth.
Regional proximity.

40 kmfrom Singapore
1000 haPhase 1 complex

Strategically situated along a major east-west shipping lane and blessed with deep waters, the Karimun Islands offer numerous advantages as Indonesia’s latest emerging industrial zone. Located just 40 km from Singapore, the Karimun Maritime Complex presents a unique investment opportunity. Investors can leverage Singapore’s international connectivity and comprehensive facilities to launch operations rapidly, while benefiting from a cost-competitive operational environment in Karimun. Karimun is exceptionally well-suited for heavy engineering and maritime industries, thanks to its easy access via the Strait of Malacca and deep-water berths capable of accommodating Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCCs).

Infrastructure to support maritime and industrial activities—including roads and other transport facilities—is already in place. Furthermore, the provision of electricity and water—currently managed for self-use—can be easily expanded, given the availability of existing resources and previously operational supporting facilities.

Karimun is the third island in the Riau Islands Province—alongside Batam and Bintan—to be designated by the central government for development, a fact that serves as a guarantee for its success.

Specifically the Phase 1 Industrial and Marine Complex (1,000 ha) on Karimun Besar island, together with three smaller pulau Karimun Kecil (350Ha), pulau Assam (360Ha) dan pulau Mudu (80Ha)

The current population of Karimun is over 273,000 people. Regular ferries ply betwen Karimun and Singapore which is one and half hour away by boat

Employee dormitories with a capacity of over 120 people, staff housing, a central facility building, food stalls & a dining hall, a soccer field, a volleyball court, & various other structures, as well as a mosque or those of the Islamic faith
Utilities & Infrastructure
- Water Resources & Supply
Currently, the site is used for private purposes, benefiting from a substantial groundwater capacity—supported by river flow & a water catchment area—& is situated in a valley between Gunung (Mount) Jantan & Gunung (Mount) Betina. Should the need arise, a Dam could be constructed at this location. Furthermore, the area includes three groundwater pump installations with a combined capacity of 12 Liters per second, as well as a Water Treatmentplant facility that we previously owned & operated
- Wastewater Management
For wastewater, the capacity we have is for human and household waste, and can be expanded as needed.
- Power Supply & Generation
Currently, we generate our own electricity using diesel generators and supplement this with power from the state-owned utility company (PLN), totaling 1.3 MW. There is potential for expansion; we previously had a capacity of 2 x 2.3 MW, though that setup may not have been productive or efficient, as it relied on Light Fuel Oil (LFO)
- Telecommunication Infrastructure
Telecommunications from a State-Owned Enterprise
